HEY!!! I enjoy a good laugh as much as the next guy.
The only one's not having a laugh
AND I AM having a laugh over it.....Just not the same laugh as you are.
In comedy, timing is everything.....what better time to look like a joker than shortly before you appear at the UN....You do realize that the world can read HIS tweets don't you.
He was going to surround himself with the best people/advisors ......where are they?....hiding behind the curtains?
The world is a stage...and POTUS is the clown?
I wonder why Don Rickles didn't run for POTUS. HE would have been a shoo-in.
the president is appalling....wonder how they would have acted if some Republican called then candidate or president BO any of these?
https://www.powerthesaurus.org/mulatto
How 'bout the Presidents disrespect of the OFFICE of President?
and if you include Tweets, I'll have to also include every tv appearance on comedy shows that BO has done repeatedly and the many radical guests he's had IN the WH.
When I include 'tweets"...I will be using what TheRump/Sean Spicer refer to as...government policy....Link provided upon request....I've already provided it in this thread...YOU neglected to read it, OR pretended it didn't happen....Now I see what Trump supporters and TheRUMP have in common. Selective memory.
nationalpost link, you are forgetting how many times BO encouraged the WSO and BLM groups....both of which were extremely violent and destructive and threatened cops, and that BO INVITED the BLM and Muslim Brotherhood groups to the WH as guests, and that BO actually had the notorious race baiter Sharpton as his black ADVISOR.
Gimme a break......YOU are the one with the selective memory, JP.
Trump has the power to end it. Too many judges lately act like THEY want to be The President. Time for the Executive branch to put the Judicial Branch back in it's place where it belongs, and stand up against their overstepping their bounds.
THEIR bounds?...the bounds which they have been given?
someone has to be the final arbitrator,...they shall be known as Judges? (while here on the third rock from the sun).
arbitrator an independent person or body officially appointed to settle a dispute
IF you expect Judges to "follow the law"...then "draft the law" to express what the law wants to do/say.
Don't "draft the law" to express what the law to do/say. and THEN claim that "tweets" are an expression of "government policy".
Didn't have a problem with "tweets/government policy" during Obama or any other POTUS.
So where do you think the problem is?
The system OR the present POTUS?
judgment, JP.....you end up with SCOTUS having the final say. They are given the ability to FOLLOW EXISTING LAW, NOT REWRITING IT TO SUIT SOME PC AGENDA.
REWRITING IT?
With Tweets?
THAT's THE PROBLEM....
Tape HIS thumbs, make HIM wear mitts.....BIG MITTS?
EXISTING LAW that he has rewritten with a tweet, JP.......just because he states what he would LIKE to see, doesn't mean that it's now law. He actually hasn't even executed new EO's that haven't been upheld by SCOTUS when challenged like his ban on refugees from the SAME six countries that BO banned.
Yes, an official statement is just that.......it's not a LAW....it's a message to Congress and the people of what he would like to see happen.
You have a very loose grasp of reality, JP.
Judges try to interpret the law as congress wrote it.
Different judges might interpret this law in a different way.
That's why we have different levels of the court system.
....lower court judges shouldn't have ANY POWER over what the President does. If they do, then it unbalances the govt between Congress, Supreme Court, and Executive. In fact, I wish the Attorney General would immediately arrest any judge below Supreme Court and Congress who makes a ruling on what a President does. They especially need to impeach and purge some of those judges in the 9th Circuit Court who have continually been overturned. If they can't get it right any more often than they do, remove the bad ones and replace them with better ones.
Judges are people.
People have a bias.
Laws are written in such a way that they can be interpreted in different ways.
As for the AG purging judges that would work fine.
This cycle we have a conservative AG who purges liberal judges.
Next cycle we have liberal AG who purges conservative judges.
Sounds like a great plan.
are not BY LAW allowed to show up in their judgments in cases before them. They are REQUIRED via their OATH to decide according to the actual WORDING of the laws....NOT change them to their liking.
Laws are written in such a way that they can be interpreted in different ways.
A liberal reads a law and gets some meaning.
A conservative reads the same law and gets a different meaning.
Personal bias.
It's more like a lawyer's viewpoint than a politician's viewpoint. Lawyers don't just look at laws simply as something to be faithfully enforced but as something to find a way to circumvent.
BO used comedy and talk shows to initiate policy....
A federal judge out of NEW YORK???? One of the most liberal court systems in the country??? Yeah....it's gonna head to SCOTUS who already killed off DAPA (another EO that BO issued....actually not even an EO, but rather a MEMO, just like DACA) and they'll have the last word on LAW and will kill it, too.
So much for BO's policies..........
Remember that SCOTUS already upheld Trump's ban on immigration from the same six countries BO put into place.
is that his ban could go forward until they heard it in JUNE...We are now waiting on their actual decision/court hearing in OCTOBER or NOVEMBER.
So which is it?
A "decision" in October OR a "court hearing" in October?
I'm going with a 'court hearing/hear a challange" in October BECAUSE of the tweets by TheRUMP.
You didn't like my first link to the story?
Getting rid of the case would allow the justices to avoid second-guessing the president on a matter of national security or endorsing an especially controversial part of Trump’s agenda.
The court will hear a challenge to the temporary pauses on visitors from six mostly Muslim countries and refugees worldwide in less than a month.
