While I deplore escalation in the use of social media to attack people, I do not see any evidence that Trump has been bullying. Perhaps the definition has changed but I consider a bully to be one who uses his/her superior power or authority to deliberately, purposefully, relentlessly and without provocation, attempt to cause harm to weaker persons. If a person hits you with a nerf bat and you respond by striking them with an aluminum bat, that's overkill but it's not bullying. I don't condone such and I really don't like for the POTUS to follow the crowd rather than lead it by good example. Trump is, IMO, guilty of such behavior....(without the "u" in my country) but I don't see him as a bully.

Trump is, IMO, guilty of such behavior......Guilty of?..... following the crowd rather than lead it by good example.

BUT NOT guilty of being a bully?

a "bully" that be one who uses his/her superior power or authority to deliberately, purposefully, relentlessly and without provocation, attempt to cause harm to weaker persons.

Is not allowing a person to express their opposing point of view bullying?

You don't consider HIS actions in THIS incident "bullying"?

Perhaps you think it was "provocation' on HER part?

HE expressed HIS opinion....SHE expressed HERS...HE banned HER.

I think he banned her because her argument hit to close to truth...and He doesn't like/can't refute the truth....

Read some of the other responses he get to his tweets.... Over and over...the same individuals make posts insulting and trash talking him,....they're still there....

Would I consider that incident as one of bullying?

Nope.

He's rude, He's mean, and He uses his power/position to intimidate others...but he doesn't qualify as a bully?

HE almost had it all.

Poor guy.

RE:Would I consider that incident as one of bullying?

Would you call anyone a 'bully"?

I think not.

Did you take the time to look up
Sep 22, 2017 1:13PM PDT

and read some of the messages this person is said to have sent to Trump? Do you think that, just because a person has cancer, it's a license to use social media to tell someone to go **** themselves without being taken to task for it? Should Trump continue to accept vulgarity in people's criticisms of him in their tweets? If what I found was half way the truth, I'd say Trump was justified in blocking further communications of that type from this person.

BTW...I've been somewhat in her shoes having stage 4 of the non-Hodgkin type of lymphoma. Never would I consider that being in that condition was justification to use abusive language toward anyone and expect them to remain kind toward me. As for this "bully" stuff, we'd better not try to call every critical comment as being one of bullying lest we diminish the importance of acts which truly are.

"just because" a person has cancer.....

OR

"just because" TheRUMP is going to change the rules to how this person would get medical help?..

Never would I consider that being in that condition was justification to use abusive language toward anyone and expect them to remain kind toward me

You don't think they would be forgiving and understand that you would be under a lot of stress?

Of all people....
Sep 23, 2017 1:57AM PDT

who'd expect forgiveness and understanding because of someone being under stress....

I'd say that also pertains to YOU. I'd also say that forgiveness and understanding does not mean a person should welcome continued abuse....verbal or otherwise. Do you know anything about lymphoma? It's a disease of the immune system and keeping that system in good condition means one should avoid certain situations that can aggravate injury to it. This sick lady who wants to get better won't accomplish that by using chemical poisons alone. If she's uncontrollably angry with someone, she should avoid any contact with them. She's doing herself no favor by engaging in these twitter wars.

You're original question centered around this being a case of bullying. You have my opinion. Find another example and don't look for it simply from biased media reports.

Trump will hear or see something he does not like and he will say or tweet the first thing that pops into his head.
If it creates a problem then it's up to his staff to put a good spin on it to smooth things out.
If he does not like you then you can expect a verbal or twitter rant.
I don't think that's how a prez should act but that's just my opinion.

That was supposed to be at JP. He's got one subject, and it's Trump, all the time. In his defense however, CNN, CBS, NBC, ABC, all are doing the same thing.

Make a post...we'll talk...maybe.

You've directed 2 maybe 3 posts to me...about sending foul weather in my area of the country...I've responded...

Want to talk about something else...make a post...we'll take it from there.
