...this one's far from brilliant, IMO.

For such a trick to work, it first has to be believable. Who on earth except the terminally naive or hopelessly paranoid are going to believe that the Central Intelligence Agency is engaging in that level of monitoring - and would admit to it?

I am constantly astounded at the level of naivite or paranoia in some people, even on this forum. I guarantee some people would belive it; in fact I might even know some personally.

I don't know what the message said ... my ISPs virus scanner stopped it before downloading, and they basically won't let users look at anything but headers. Their site listed the same virus you were sent.

The subject line, though, was clearly intended to attract attention:
"You visit illegal web sites"
As if!
