So, Pence walked out of the football game

Oct 9, 2017 6:09AM PDT

Good for him...Following the bosses orders....AND Spending taxpayers money. Seen figures of around $400k for the cost of the sideshow....

NO figures on the number of people that followed HIS lead and left the game. HIS security team and the wife don't count.... Follow me boys and girls...this way to the exit....

Probably none...it's one thing to spend someones else's money (the taxpayer) to express YOUR position, and another to spend YOUR OWN money to express an opinion.

There should have been a few Trump supporters there....Walk out and send a bill to the POTUS?...he's got you covered?

....to whistle "Dixie". As people walked by, he'd nudge the dog ang it would start whistling "Dixie". Four of them were; a white guy from the South, A black man from the South, A white man from the North, and a black man from the North. Predict their reactions.

A man down South taught his dog .to whistle "Dixie".

The dog owner was lucky to find 4 people that could hear a "dog whistle"....

Why can we not hear a dog whistle?
Dogs are able to pick up a wide range of sounds that humans simply cannot. This is because of how sound waves travel. ... This means that when you blow into your high-pitched dog whistle, he can hear it, but your ears just aren't built to do the same.

Was this dog, that can whistle, whistling in the wind?
Oct 9, 2017 7:18PM PDT

whistle in the wind. phrase [VERB inflects] If you describe someone as whistling in the wind, you mean that they are trying unsuccessfully to change something which cannot be changed.

I wouldn't pay a nickel to hear a hot dog bark.

Dog and whistle
Oct 10, 2017 3:32AM PDT

I suspect the 2 guys from the north were amazed that the dog could whistle.

I suspect the 2 guys from the south had a different reaction to each other and nothing to do with the dog's ability to whistle.

Not bad
Oct 10, 2017 6:27AM PDT

the white guy from south was impressed and wanted to know how he could get HIS dog to do the same.

the white guy from the north was amazed, but said he couldn't quite place the tune.

the black guy from the south decided to cross the road and walk on the other side for awhile.

the black guy from the north ran back to his homies and hoodies and they did a drive by shooting on the dog.

the guy who had the Dixie whistling dog, got a white cat then, taught it to do rap, and named it M&M.

Speaking of Eminem.....

Eminem unleashes on Trump: The 11 fiercest lines

(CNN)In what is perhaps the fiercest and the most exhaustive attack against Donald Trump in hip-hop, Eminem "came to stomp," unleashing on the President in an explosive 4.5 minute freestyle -- which aired during Tuesday night's BET Hip Hop Awards — calling Trump everything from "Donald the b----," to a "racist grandpa."

They even dissect the words for us old farts that can't "understand" what these rappers are saying....

Pelosi wasted for years as leader of Congress taking military jets back and forth to San Francisco rather than fly commercial and pay for it herself......as a multimillionaire she had/has the bucks.

As for a 'publicity stunt'......it didn't have to happen if the players had stood, right? As far as I can tell, Pence publicly protested the protestors. Good on him.

Oct 12, 2017 3:42PM PDT

Neither the dems or the repubs have a monopoly on wasting taxpayer money.
Put a person in power and they think they have a blank check.

PR stunt....Pence knew it was going to happen so he made a statement to the repub base.
All well planed in advance.

As for the players standing/sitting/kneeling that's an issue for the NFL.

Offended
Oct 14, 2017 8:58AM PDT

If your offended don't watch or go to the game.
If enough people do that the NFL will get the message.
I don't think a ball field is a place for a player to express a personal opinion.
That's my opinion but an issue for the NFL not the prez.

NFL and govt help
Oct 14, 2017 9:10AM PDT

The NFL has often had help from various govts in the USA in order to survive. usually it's in the form of convincing some city or community to build a stadium and give them free or very in expensive rent. I don't know if they've received Federal help at any time, but wouldn't be surprised if they had.

Also their games appear on TV, which is FCC regulated, so....

Don't watch or go to the game.....it's simple.

- Collapse -
I don't
Oct 14, 2017 12:29PM PDT

By the same token, if a player doesn't want to just do his job and keep his personal opinions off the field, then he should not play, he should quit the team,.....It's just that simple.

- Collapse -
Personal opinion
Oct 14, 2017 4:31PM PDT

That's something for the NFL to decide.
If the NFL chooses to allow that stuff then I have a choice.
Don't watch the game or ignore the personal opinion of some player.
It's simple.

- Collapse -
Perhaps the easiest way
Oct 15, 2017 4:04AM PDT

to get the NFL to realize they are on the wrong side of this issue is to pull their 501C tax exempt status and make them pay taxes like other FOR PROFIT companies.

Has anyone claimed that the protesting players aren't playing to their full potential?

Have they backed up their "claim" with "evidence"?

Added something that doesn't belong
Oct 14, 2017 12:25PM PDT

I didn't say they failed to perform. Instead they added something that doesn't belong. By your concept that it's OK to add something that's not a part of the experience, then I supposed you'd be happy if you stopped for a burger at some fast food place, and they gave you everything that's supposed to be in it, but then also added a spitwad too.

Trump calls Penguins players 'incredible patriots' during White House visit

After adding to the uproar over NFL players who protest during the national anthem, President Donald Trump mostly stuck to hockey in honouring the Stanley Cup-winning Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday, calling them "true champions and incredible patriots."

Of the 18 players who won the Cup last season and are still with the Penguins, seven are American: Kessel, Ian Cole, Brian Dumoulin, Jake Guentzel, Bryan Rust, Chad Ruhwedel and Conor Sheary. Crosby and six others are Canadian, two are Swedish, one is Russian and one is Finnish.

They're there for the money....it's all about the money....Financial patriots?

Some play hockey...others play the market....

and they gave you everything that's supposed to be in it, but then also added a spitwad too.
