Over the past few weeks I've been driving a new Vista laptop. Out of the box this machine with stock settings will attach and use unencrypted wireless networks. No one would have to do a thing to use your network. Why? Microsoft set the defaults in Vista to do this.
This is easy to fix. Move to WPA today. Leave SSID enabled and give it a nice name like VIRUSFARM.
Every Vista user will use your system unless you move to something secure. Give a big thanks to Redmond.

Until today I had an unencrypted wireless system. How can I find out if someone was trying to get into my system.I always had my hardware firewall provided by my router , zone alarm and symantec antivirus. Is it any software which advise if someone is snicking into your system?
