Question

Smooth scrolling in ios8 gone?

Oct 31, 2014 8:47PM PDT

Hi Apple-experts

Since I got my iPhone 6 I have experienced an annoying issue which I hope you can help me with.

In Safari when scrolling down my iPhone 5 did the "normal" smooth scrolling, where it starts scrolling down the page fast and then stops scrolling slower and slower. The same way the scroll function works in mail or sms.

In my iPhone 6, which runs newest iOS 8.1, Safari does not scroll this way anymore? I have looked through all the settings for Safari and iPhone in general but I can't find any settings which can change this.

Is that scroll movement gone in 8.1 or on the iPhone specific, or maybe I just can't find the settings to change it?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards

Daniel

Lag in ios 8

Hi,

Everyone seems to be facing the same issue especially while using facebook, twitter, etc...

There is no settings option to make it run smooth. Its a bug in iOS8. Hope apple fixes it in next update.

I would suggest you to try some other browser like fixefox to surf.

That's annoying. Unfortunately there is not a setting to change the scrolling issue. Hopefully they will fix this in the next update release.

scroll lag in safari

I've noticed this same issue running iOS 8.3 on iPhone 6 Plus. The scroll speed is terrible and laggy, has there been any known workarounds for this?

I just got my iPhone 6 last month and I did not notice the issue you mentioned. Did I miss something here?
