I have a new 46" LCD tv. Lately the screen has been switching to having a green tint to it. It will then switch back to a great picture on its own but then switches back. I have checked the component cables which are hooked up correctly. The television is hooked up to a HD Time Warner cable box. Is this a TV problem or a cable signal problem? I never had this with any of my previous TV's

Please HELP!!

Is this happening an all of your input sources, or just the cable box?

If it's limited to that one source, it may be possible it's your cable box. If it's happening on other inputs as well, that's an indication that the television is malfunctioning.

Hmmm, now that I think about it...my kids have watched a VHS tape (yes I still have one) and they have played the Nintendo Wii, both with no problems to my knowledge. SO i guess I should trade out my cable box and try that first before calling for service?

thanks

Often times, the cable companies can reset or reload firmware to the cable box from remote through the current connection. You might try asking if they can do that first to avoid a service call (and it's convenient if it works!)

Just a thought. Happy
