I have recently purchased the above tv. I have connected it to my samsung hdd recorder using anynet+ when recording with the tv on it is ok, but when i turn the tv off the recorder only records black screen. This is a freesat tv and all works good including the smart hub. I have the tv connected with a high speed HDMI cable to the recorder but still only blackness when the tv is turned off. Can anybody tell me what if I am doing wrong.

But from what I've read the TV must be on to record.
