SmartPhone Synchronization w/Yahoo Mobile

Oct 6, 2006 2:58AM PDT

Hi all;
Hopefully someone can answer this. The question is: Can it be done?
The details are: Synchronizing a hybrid with Yahoo's web mail, contacts, calendar, etc. directly thru a PC. I'm more interested in the calendar, tasks and contacts. I can check mail at the PC.

I use only the web-based app since I can check it anywhere there's a PC. For me, that's better than Outlook or any other local client pkg. (and it's backed-up daily)

I know this can be done over the carrier's (Cingular) datanet, but I'd prefer not to have the additional monthly charges for something I don't need yet. That also generates my assumption that what I want to do can be done, since it can be done on-air.

There are a limited number of hybrids that may have this capability with the Yahoo/Cingular restriction. But the question remains... can it be done?

Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. I hope you folks can help, because I've gotten little or no feedback from any other technical forums (including Yahoo's).

TIA
