Question

smartphone & PC

Aug 7, 2018 8:39AM PDT

Hi guys--
We are seniors living a tech-simple life. My wife is an artist looking to list art on Instagram. She is offered a deal: Apple smartphone from Cellular with a $20 per month plan. We have a PC (Windows 7) where her image files are stored, not a Mac. I'm told they are incompatible. Should we forget the Apple, or look for a solution? Thanks.

I have a few iPhones. 5s and 6 and both work with my PC over iTunes.

Time to talk to folk more in tune with Apple gear.

ITunes is Apples program to manage an iPhone and put music and photo's and such on it. But you can use the iCloud also to sync her arts to her iPhone where the Instagram app will pick it up.

In what way do you thinkg an iPhone is more incompatible with a PC than an Android phone?

I don't think anything, since I'm a tech no-nothing. I use a $14.95 Walmart cell phone. Thanks, but what is an Android?

An Android phone is a smartphone that runs an Android OS. An iPhone is a smartphone that runs iOS.
Both run Instagram. And you need a smartphone to run Instagram. But not necessarily one as expensive as in iPhone.

Instagram on Android
Dec 19, 2018 5:08AM PST

I am using a business account with over 10k followers on Instagram but for some reason there is no 'link' icon to allow me to add links to Instagram Stories when I'm on my Android phone. Everything I've read says that the business account meets the criteria to have this icon and when a colleague, using the same Instagram account, tried this on her iPhone, the icon appears. What am I missing? (I have uninstalled and reinstalled the IG App but it has made no difference).

Time to bug Instagram about this.
