Smart TV / Channel access via wifi?

I purchased a Samsung Smart TV for upstairs. I have a similar TV in the basement with a Roku. I have no coaxial connections upstairs. I use the Smart TV upstairs for Netflix/Amazon. However, I was wondering if there was any way to connect some sort of antenna or other viewing device, perhaps with a wifi or USB connection, that will allow me to watch TV channels. The Roku needs a wired ethernet connection, which is also in the basement, so that won't work.

Your post wrote about TV channels.

Just like days of old you have an antenna connection run to the TV. Not much new needed here and it can be cheap and easy to use.

As to tech solutions for TV channels, the Sling Box and such may be next.

No coaxial

Hi there. Thanks for your response. I don't have a coaxial connection upstairs, which means I have nothing to run the "rabbit ears" to. I did some research and figured out I can get to my Sling app through an Amazon Fire Stick, so that's the route I think I'll go.

Cripes. I'm an idiot.

I have been thinking the antenna needs to be connected to the coaxial output from the WALL instead of the TV. I get it now. Oy.

I still think I'll get the Fire Stick, however, because having my Sling TV app will provide local channels to.
