Smart TV''s aren't that smart. Things you can try:
- Download a newer version of the browser.
- Use another app
- Use the smart TV as a monitor for a device with a better browser (Roku, Android box, PC, laptop)
- Buy a smart TV with less limitations (try it in the shop!)

This is a typical complaint.

These Smart TVs pale if you compare what you can do on decade plus old PCs or Apples. They don't hold a candle to an everyday smart phone.

I see Kees listed the usual exits but as no time did these Smart TV makers try to match browsing on a PC, Apple or phone. Shame.
