Would you buy a Ferrari to drive through swamps or a Jeep to race?????????
Go buy a proper camera/camcorder and use your phone to talk to people.
I'm looking for everything good about cell phone cameras plus a decent sized lens, optical zoom, and top-flight image stabilization. I'd like a form-factor that's easier to use than the plastic slab of a cell phone.
My perfect camera would look like this:
- Handheld camcorder format with flip-out screen for ease of use with one hand.
- Equally good at still and video, with the ability to take stills while recording video.
- Image stabilization as good as the Sony camcorder's latest "Optical SteadyShot"
- optical zoom that's fast and quiet
- 1080p x 60fps, HD recording
- Minimum time between opening the camera and ready-to-shoot
- Quality still images. Dedicated button to take a still image. All the still-image features found on a smart phone for good family shooting, including HDR, stitching panorama, face recognition, etc.
Shopping advice much appreciated!
