Smart MotiveBridge

Dec 11, 2004 12:35AM PST

When starting up, I get a window message that Smart MotiveBridge has new updates and do I want to download?
I always click no. Does anyone knows what this is and whether I should download it?

Sorry, I got the name turned around. My DSL provider is Verizon not ATT. I don't know how to stop this annoying message from popping up. - L.

Motive is a monitoring system used by and installed by
many different broadband ISPs. My SBC/Yahoo uses it. After installation, I uncheck it in MSCONFIG so it won't load. Not using it doesn't affect how your computer or internet connection works, only the information they
collect from you. chuck
