Question

Smart Hub TV channel selection

Sep 28, 2015 11:45AM PDT

When I open up Smart Hub and go the TV icon, there is a screen for the currently selected channel and six smaller screens to the right with other channels. When I select any of the other six channels, the currently selected channel comes up instead of the newly selected channel. I have done the Smart Settings and gone to the TC Setup, and everything, such are set box and provider are all correct. I have also reset the TV. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like a software bug to me. Always call these in.

Unless these are called in, they won't know to fix it. Be sure to collect your Transaction number and if they don't fix it in a reasonable time, ask for a model that works correctly.

Is the firmware up to date on the unit? We would recommend updating the firmware, I do believe the screen you are speaking of is the OnTV area. This has been a feature that has been removed.

Smart Hub TV channel selection

Thanks for the replies. The software update check indicates that it is current, namely, Ver. 2210. If the firmware is something differnet, then I do not know where to check that. The screen is indeed the OnTV screen, and I have read in other posts that that functionality was removed. Seems odd though, since I can see all six of the other recommended tv channels and navigate to them, but when I select them, the TV jsut stays on the currently selected channel.
