Resolved Question

Smart Hub not working

Sep 17, 2012 8:25AM PDT

Hello everyone, Im new around here!

I recently purchased a Samsung 55"ES7500 LED tv. Beatifully built and the picture quality is amazing by the way but I'm having an issue with my Smart Hub. For the first few weeks I've had the tv its been working fine, I downloaded Skype, Facebook and a few other cool apps which I've been enjoying but yesterday everything stopped. I logged on and nothing would work, seemed so slow, the icons and apps wouldn't show up on the screen only a few did like the Web browser and App store but even those wouldn't work. I would get a message that the Smart Hub needed to be updated but when I pressed OK nothing would happen, just showed that the apps were being "installed" or loaded but it seems to be frozen. I did a reset, checked that the firmware is updated and even reset my account but nothing helped .... Can anyone tell me if this is a common issue? Is my TV defective? My itnernet too slow (wireless) or is the SmartHub server just down for now? I just hope I don't have to package up this tv and take it back to the store for them to look at, I'd hate to ding it up...

Thank you guys!!!

Samsung has been known to do maintenance on the servers. Some day we hope they'll move away from this design to something cloud based that won't go down as often. Or even (gasp) not rely on their servers.
