Question

Smart Hub Netflix playback issue - flashing box

Dec 17, 2012 6:57AM PST

Hi, Netflix has begun having issues during playback/streaming. A few seconds in to the film/programme the screen shrinks to the left side (as if it had reverted to the 4:3 aspect ratio) - leaving a bar down the right side which has a flashing box in the top right corner. The screen will flick back to full screen a couple of mins later and then a few mins later will compress it back and the flashing box returns. It's making watching anything on the Samsung smart tv on Netflix unwhachable.

Hi Blondends,

Sorry to hear about this problems. So that I can help you most accurately, what's the full model code for this device?

Hi Blondends,

Thanks for that information. Just so you know, I support US products and customers. And from what I can tell, this model is for UK. (Correct me if I'm wrong.) So if you want Samsung help, especially since this looks to be a software issue, here's the Samsung UK portal for support on that product: http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/model/UE26EH4510WXXU

Hope this helps you!

That only rolled out a while ago and might have issues. Always try removing that app and getting the latest.

There was another CNET poster that was doing something unsupportable as they used a proxy to get to the US Netflix but that surely isn't going on here. But I added this just in case you were trying that.
