Question

Smart Hub Netflix app movie title search?

Aug 22, 2015 12:46AM PDT

We just got a new Samsung HDTV (UN65J6300) with smart hub. When we go into the Netflix app, all I see are movie titles, I don't see any way to search for a movie title that I'm specifically looking for.

I can't believe that there isn't a way to do this...How is "search by movie title" done in the Netflix app? Is there some kind of sub-menu or something?

Thanks!

If you keep pressing the up arrow key you should come across a row of icons where you can switch users, change settings, and there will be a search icon there as well.

Re: Searching for titles: Yes Virginia, there is a way...

Yes, I called Netflix help line about this, since I couldn't believe that searching wasn't available. It is not intuitive to me to go above the screen that you enter an app on. Netflix needs to put something on the screen to indicate that going up from the main/entry screen gets you to search, etc. I'll bet I'm not the only person asking that question. Never seen an app like that before.

Aside from being confusing and counter-intuitive, the up arrow from the entry screen does work.

Thanks.
