Question

Smart hub delete apps

Apr 23, 2017 5:06PM PDT

Alright

So right now I am running smart hub(Samsung T.V) version 4.6261, and I want to delete some apps. Its messy to me and I just want to clean up the interface. I tried looking around on the internet, but I haven't found anything on deleting apps for my version. So could anyone tell my how to delete apps?

Samsung has control of that screen.

Not all apps can be removed. You are thinking as if this is a PC. It's not even close. It's like a bad store that you walk into and they control it all.

Delete Unwanted Apps from Smart Hub
Dec 26, 2017 2:04PM PST

I just bought a Samsung QLED 55" Smart TV with the One Connect hub. The Home key is certainly cluttered with unused Apps. I was able to remove Apps by moving to the Apps screen, selecting Settings (cog icon in upper right of the screen), and on the Apps Settings screen, turning Auto Update: (also in the upper right of the screen) to Off.

After changing the setting to Off and clicking the Home key, I was able to go to each App, click the down button and select Remove.

I hope this works for others.
