Question

Smart Hub Brower issues

Jan 15, 2013 6:10PM PST

I bought a Samsung 40D8000 couple of months ago. Initially all the apps and browser working very fine and I am very pleased & happy. We were watching streaming movies and various tv shows.
But suddenly on
one fine day,
all the apps on Hub got vanished leaving only the default icons like favourite, guide etc. I called samsung cc they asked me to do factory resets, ofcourse they guided me step by step over through phone.
Updated the firmware to the latest one.
Appreciating their patience. But nothing happened at the end.
Finally the samsung cc staff informed me that they have raised this issue as a complaint to their technical team to work on it. They also told us that the technical team would be in touch with us in very short period, but it has been since 2 weeks no response from samsung.
Later suddenly one day all the apps that have been installed appeared. But no use. Now the browser couldn't stream any movies/shows- especially on youtube the sound is missing, on dailymotion the picture flickers every two seconds.
If you try to stream shows on dailymotion apps, any clips that have been selected shows a message 'video not available, plz try next video'.
Any help/ideas would be highly appreaciated.
Thank you

Hi alplamir,

I'm very sorry to hear about the problems you've been encountering. Could you let me know what your complete model code is? Also, any chance you could provide your transaction or ticket number?

Hi alplamir,

Usually, with the phone call, they'd provide you with a ticket number of some kind so that the issue can be tracked. Different countries call it different things. Over here in the US, we call it a transaction number.

Unfortunately, I can't do very much since this is a UK model, except for forward the issue from my end to the UK. So that's why I asked for the ticket number.
