Smallest 3 Megapixel Camera

Nov 21, 2004 4:44AM PST

I would appreciate it if someone could recommend a 3 megapixel camera for snapshots that's small enough to fit unobtrusively in a shirt pocket. Thanks.

I'm in a similar position. Looking for a 3-4 MP ultracompact, the smaller the better. Other considerations are battery life, durability, decent picture quality (mostly 5x7 prints), and an under-$300 price tag.

I'm currently looking at the SD200, along with the Dimage Xg and perhaps the Exilim EX-Z40.

What factors should I consider in making this decision? Are there other models I should be checking out?

The main drawback of the SD200 is that its pictures have lots of purple fringing as well as severely blurred corners. I'd recommend the Konica Minolta Dimage Xg, which takes better photos.

Note that, you can't expect ultracompact cameras to produce top-notch photos.
