Small Video Card

by Mark273978 / December 23, 2008 5:39 PM PST

I have recently purchased an XFX nforce 630i mobo with on board Geforce 7150 graphics. With the way the PCI-E x16 slot is put on the motherboard a big video card would cover all 4 SATA ports. So I am looking for a good gaming video card that would fit which would be around or under 8 inches long. If anyone knows of a smaller video card please let me know.

One of the right angle SATA connectors I have is only 1/2" high..perhaps some are shorter.

Don't know a sure fire way to find a short (length) card... maybe Newegg has info in their specs that cover that. If the right angle cables won't work, you could get an SATA PCI controller and perhaps
eliminate the card length issue.

Let us know how you solve the problem.

PS..Best to avoid such problems using full-size MBs or one that doesn't place such peripherals in direct line with often used connectors.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
