Small bug with the DIRECTV banner ad and Firefox 2.0...

Nov 17, 2006 3:36AM PST

If you load the DIRECTV banner advertisement in Firefox 2.0 the right-hand page boundary is extended, forcing a horizontal scroll bar on a 17" monitor with 1024x768 resolution. Sometimes it will load at the normal position but other times it will load with the page already scrolled right, resulting in this. Again, it's a minor cosmetic issue but there is something wrong with the advertisement.

AdBlock and AdBlock filter g updater, you never see these ads.

The only ads you see are the ones that are, if I remember correctly, buy.com

Filter.G vs EasyList
Nov 17, 2006 5:38PM PST

I use EasyList and EasyElement plus site whitelists when I need to troubleshoot a problem. The ABP sidebar is a god send. I have not added any non-subscription blacklists.

However, when I installed Adblock Plus I decided to go with EasyList and EasyElement instead of Filter.G simply because they were advertised from ABP.

AFAIK this is working fine. Wondering why you chose Filter.G instead. Would be a piece of cake to switch subscriptions if there is a good reason.

FF2 and a 15" LCD

i can replicate your problem if i click 'resize down' and the screen is 'this much' (finger and thumb almost touching) smaller than the full screen, maximise the screen and it shows OK...

and i agree with Rick, a few minutes with adblock plus and no more ads....
