SLR, with movie capabilities

I'm looking for a really good SLR digital that's compact, easy to use & has reasonable movie capabilities. Any suggestions? Thanks

I don't know of any DSLR camera with movie mode.

Movies versus Stills

Actually, there is no digital still camera at all that is capable of doing GOOD movies. If you want movies - buy a good digital movie camera. If you want stills, buy a good digital camera.

What you want would be the equivalent of asking for a really good car that is also a boat.

You're confused

I think that you may have digital slrs confused with normal digital cameras. I'm not going to give you the technical reasons for it (just click the link on the left to go to cnet's digital slr guide), but there is no digital slr on the market today that can record videos or is truly compact. There are slrs that are relatively small compared to others (Pentax *Ds/*Dl/*Ds2, Canon Digital Rebel XT), but are still very bulky compared to non-slr digital cameras.
