SLR Digital Camera

I'm looking for an entry level SLR digital camera best for shooting indoors(basketball) for under $1000.

The main thing you need is a bright lens.

A zoom lens rated at f/2.8 would be a good choice.
The lower the number ... the brighter the lens.

Canon and Nikon have the largest selection of lenses.

Any of their entry level cameras will do fine.

Just remember, you MUST turn-off the flash.

I would suggest you to go the basic SLR model like Canon 1000D or Nikon 30D...after that you can purchase some lenses in the remaining budget...for sports capturing..you need something with higher shutter speed...go for any basic model and keep experimenting...
