And most AMD K6-2 based boards suffer at some past 128M, 256M memory since the L2 Cache doesn't reach that far.
Rebooting Windows 95/98/ME should be a ritual to us all. Microsoft never did fix that...

My friend has a problem.
He has a Windows 98SE machine.
512MB Ram
500Mhz AMD K6-2 CPU
Soundblaster Live 5.1
Cheap Brand Vid card that I canno remember.
Anyone, he is primarily burning CDs with it.
The problem is, after using his PC for about an hour, Windows slows down. This especially happens after running programs that use a lot of memory. It's like the memory is not being freed up.
Is there a 98 program that works like the XP task manager, which shows you what programs are using how much RAM?
That would help me at least get an idea of what's going on.
