Question

slow wirelss connection

Mar 15, 2012 10:54PM PDT

I have a Linksys E1200 router hooked up to my host computer a Vista HP. My client computer is in a Windows 7 HP x 64 bit . It is in a bedroom, about 50 feet away with a netgear WG111 wireless usb 2.0 adapter (54 Mbps). Things like youtube videos take forever to load. Without having to change the host and client computers, what is the easiest way to speed the connection. Would a wireless range extender be the best trick? If so, what kind. Or should I install a different wireless adapter on the client computer? Thank you for your help.

Is it better if you bring the laptop closer to the router?
