Slow start up..

Jun 4, 2010 5:15PM PDT

I am experiencing a slow start up, system boots up to the desktop and just hangs there. If I try clicking on anything i.e. desktop icon, taskbar or sidebar, cursor just turns into the little rotating circle. Everything was fine, shut down my pc and went to work. Came home started system and now have this problem. I can run it in safe mode and everything seems to work. Can someone help me troubleshoot this problem.

I have an:

Acer Aspire M5640 running Windows Vista Home Premium SP2
Intel Core Duo E7200 2.53GHz
3GB Ram
32-bit Operating System
