Hi,
I have a small network with several Snow Leopard (10.6.
iMacs and a couple of Lion iMacs.
We have a Windows server and the problem we are seeing is the reaaaalllly slow login time when tryin to connect to any share on this file server.
This problem I have seen before when the Macs have been bound to an AD but in this case they are not. The users login with local Admin accounts and login to the server with a network account.
Even though these are AD bound Macs, is the .local issue still relevant ? And if so what is the best way to either eliminate or really reduce the slow login to the fileserver ?
Once the Macs are connected to the server share/drive, it works fine in terms of speed.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
