Since it started when you added that printer, what happens if you turn the printer completely off? Do the symptoms improve at all?
One of the somewhat more annoying things Mac OS X does, is it continually scans in the background looking for wireless networks/devices. I've never seen an obvious way to disable that "feature". So it's at least possible that the printer and Mac (BTW, it's not in all caps, MAC is a networking term, Mac is shorthand for Macintosh Computer) are trying to establish an ad-hoc connection which is messing up the connection to your router. AFAIK, Windows doesn't run continual background scans, it's only when you go to look at available networks, and would thus help explain why the PC works without issue. Of course it might also be that you've moved the Mac further away from the router and the signal is weaker, or there's some kind of interference, or one of a number of other possibilities.
Hi all,
I have recently installed a WIFI all in one printer at home. Since then, my internet connection is slow and WIFI keeps dropping. (sending request takes ages, get 'no data received quite often...)
Weird thing is, this only happens on my MAC, working on my PC seems fine.
I wonder if network setting on my MAC are wrong.
Could someone help?
Many thanks
