I bought my ASUS Zenbook about a year and a half ago.
I was starting school, and needed a laptop to take notes.
When I first got my laptop, I was super excited to play around and discover Windows 8. (I've had Windows 7 forever on a desktop PC and Vista on my old laptop. I, like much of you, LOVE new technology.) I was immediately confused, and I actually hated it. I hated everything about Windows 8. I downloaded 2 pictures - one for my background, and one for my picture for my login.
That was it.
I didn't touch it for a few weeks and I didn't end up using it much as I planned. I found it was too much for me to bring to school, and that I personally prefer writing notes by hand.
I obviously updated my laptop to 8.1.
My computer was slow the next time I turned it on.
I downloaded Avast, and Ad-aware - they've always seemed to work for me.
I ran some tests, as I'm extremely paranoid.
In the mean time, I would go on Facebook or Songza, and maybe Youtube. That was it, newspaper websites too.
I didn't do much on my laptop. I kept turning on my laptop to find out what was going on why it was so slow. I was told it was going to be fast since it has an SSD drive in it. I was disappointed.
Later weird things kept happening, my computer always wants to update- fine whatever do your thing girl. Then it would turn on extremely slow. It would do everything SLOW. Writing my e-mail into facebook would take 5 minutes because the internet kept freezing. I would get messages from windows saying that things were turned off. I would finally have a decent going laptop able to actually get something done, when it would have a loading bar - for no longer than half a second - appear at the top left corner. It was for less than half a second - I couldn't read what it was saying.
I downloaded a bunch of things to scan my computer.
Avira, CCleaner, MalwareBytes, and BitDefender. I haven't been able to find anything recently, but I know before I was seeing a few things that were Internet add-ons that I couldnt delete, but dont appear anymore.
I've been told it could be an issue with the SSD drive, which is SanDisk 24gb.
I hope all this information helps....HELP me out please. anything helps.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly
Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
