Question

Slow computer after watching videos

When I try to watch videos my computer starts to slow down or the video stops for 2 or 3 seconds and then continues. If I watch too many videos, I have to manually shut my computer off because it won't do it by itself. What can I do to fix this problem?

Sometimes it's one of those old 128MB XP machines from 2000 that has never been upgraded or cleaned. You may have to clean the machine, replace heat sink compound or increase the RAM. Today I want to see 1GB for XP, 4GB for later versions.

Things to try:
1. Latest driver for video card.
2. Other program to view the video. What kind of video is it, and what program are you using now?

open task manager by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del key
now click on performance tab.
if the graph is more than 40% then some applications are utilizing the cpu usage more.
so remove unwanted application that are loading in memory by the command msconfig
