Slow Computer

My son has Fallout,WOW, Warhammer, Call of Duty, Fallout & Starcraft: Broodwar loaded on his PC. He never has speed issues while playing the games, but now that he's off to college, I've used the PC to surf the web and it's so slow - almost like dial up slow. I have a laptop which is fast as heck and I can easily move back and forth through 5/6 websites that I'll have opened up. Not so with the PC. Are all these games causing the PC to be so slow? Please be kind - I am not internet savvy. Thanks.

Oops

I guess I should have mentioned that it's Windows XP. We had a new video card installed a few months ago and the techs checked it for problems - no problems detected.

Click on the link below and follow ALL of the steps to eliminate unnecessary startup programs and services and to remove all the junk files. It may take a while to perform all the steps, including a malware scanning of the system, but it should allow things to run smoother.:

Hope this helps.
