I find DVR content to often be 720p content upsampled to 1080. So for the final test, I get you a real 1080p BluRay Disc (BD).
Then I know.
Also you have folk watching a screen from less than 12 inches away picking out pixel flaws. I'm unsure if those folk can be helped. Sometimes you see them performing a frame by frame analysis of the movie. Heck of a way to watch a flick.
I have a Panasonic TC-P65ST30 television that is fairly new. For the most part, the picture is excellent. However, when I watch 1080p movies it almost looks as if it is very slightly fuzzy. Background, out of focus, areas almost seem distorted as if moving slightly.
Is there a setting I am missing? My DVR uses 1080i, and I confirmed that is the signal the tv is receiving.
It is almost as if the picture is sharp, but there is a very very slight distortion over the top of it. From a distance it looks better. It also isn't consistent. Sometimes it looks a little worse than other times.
