Slicing out a small portion of video

by behnazutx / August 7, 2008 8:40 AM PDT

Hi, I have an hour and a half long DVD I just imported onto my computer using a free software called DVD Decrypter. I am pretty sure it transferred the file directly from the DVD at full resolution. I have it now on my harddrive but the file is an hour long and a half long and 3.3 gigs. I want to just slice out a portion of the video that is just 3 minutes long to store on my computer. Can anyone tell me how to do this? I've heard I can do it on Quicktime Pro but that is a 30 dollar program and all I would need it for is just this simple function.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks much.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
