SL77.tmp Monopolizing CPU on Win 2000 System

There's a process named "SL77.tmp" running on my PC that's monopolizing my CPU (75%-99%). When I try to end the process, I receive an "access is denied" message. This has been going on for 5-6 hours now, and I don't know how to stop it. Online searches yield absolutely no hits for a process with this name. Does anyone know what's going on?
