It's not only affects Samsung TVs but all TVs brands as well.
So I don't think it is fair to call out Samsung on this as they most likely don't have a say in this. This is all on MS and I'm sure for good reason, as more and more people are using Skype on tablets and mobile phones as it is much more convenient and mobile.

As per the notification from my TV tonight, Skype, starting on June 2, 2016, has been discontinued on Samsung TV's.
The message has also suggested that affected users contact Skype, and Samsung Customer Service. I assume this was a move by Skype/Microsoft, however, that does not let "our" ambassador, off the hook.
So Samsung Customer Service Rep... what gives? You have hundreds of thousands, if not millions of Smart TV'S around the world with Web cams that in a few months will be useless. Not to mention the add on cameras you sell.
So, what is the official company line on this fiasco?
