Skype bandwidth

Hello,
I use Skype over an ADSL broadband connection. The transfer of data amount increased dramatically, as I expected. Is there a way to configure Skype so that it can use less bandwith. Can I configure it so that it runs like on dial-up, or similar?

I need to save so much data transfer as possible.

Did you do any research on this. The first link I find is http://forum.skype.com/viewtopic.php?t=16251&start=90&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight= with a google using your topic's words.

I'll also ask if you didn't do some initial search, why didn't you?
