skipping the ads

by diane783 / November 22, 2004 1:36 AM PST

The children's DVD's I have seen have so many ads and trailers, that my kids have left the room by the time we get to the movie. The skip function doesn't work on most of them, thought fast forward usually does. If I am playing them on my computer, I can doubleclick on the actual movie scene to skip ahead. Is there a way to do this when using the DVD player?

"PUO" (Prohibited User Operations) are what you are complaining about. Just sharing that if you look at DVDSHRINK on google.com, it can remove such.

I can't offer ANY support for such and I suggest you equip yourself with such soon before a bill in congress makes it illegal to skip commercials. At least its just a bill...

If I tap my menu button when the dvd loads, mostly the disc goes right to root menu=play, set up etc.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
