There are a few common fixes. I'll note the name of a software found with google and the other solutions.
1. Install TOUCHFREEZE.
2. Disable the touchpad and use a mouse.
3. Do the MacGyver touchpad trick. Get a post it note and cut it exactly the size of the pad and put that on the pad.

Whenever I type text in Word and other web documents, the cursor some times goes to previous words. Wish any one can suggest the solution for this problem.
