That's the 10 buck a month requirement. Now list all hosts that do this and work that list with your next spec. Eventually you'll have a short list and can ask here if anyone would pick one over the other.
Hi -- I'm totally new to this so please forgive any tedious comments/questions!
The goal is to build a reasonably professional looking site for my copywriting portfolio. My samples are mostly pdfs (the biggest ones are about 10MB and I'd like to make at least a dozen available); also have 5 or 6 Quicktime and MP3 files for video and radio scripts I've written. I work on a Mac but can use Firefox if necessary. Just want to make sure that I pick a host that is reasonably compatible w/my space requirements... ideally, one that offers a site builder tool that's highly customizable from a design standpoint (because I don't want my pages to look too much like a generic template - even though that's what they are).
I've been visiting so many sites that my brain is addled by choice (and i have no idea what all the stuff about FTP means)! Reliability is important but I don't a lot of traffic... this site is mainly there to support any resumes I send out, so only a handful of people will need to view or download a pdf per month (if that).
Oh yeah... I'd like to keep my cost under $10 a month.
So, am I asking too much of a DIY tool? All advice/recommendations hugely appreciated.
Thank you,
Diana
