Hello,

If I have a key on the keyboard that no longer works, such as key n. I wanted to know if by starting in single user mode and the n key not working, are what one can conclude that there is a hardware failure on the keyboard or the n key?

but you could always test with another, USB, Keyboard.
Doesn't need to be a Mac keyboard, anyone will do

BTW, "there is a hardware failure on the keyboard or the n key" is the same thing.

For the test with another keyboard that can help, it is still necessary to have one on hand.
We can also test the keyboard with the terminal of the installation DVD.

And indeed, a failure on the keyboard or the key n is the same. I do not necessarily speak English well, I use google translation and I stress sometimes to be sure of being understood. : )
