There were 2 incidents in a neighborhood ....
Aug 3, 2007 5:03AM PDT

...... in my city re: setting dogs on fire.

The first was by poring gasoline on it and lighting it.

The second was done with a blow torch.

In another event a cat had the gasoline method.

Maybe the perpetrators did it to show that animals feel pain. Sure.

One would think part of an outdoor camp for children would be exposing them to nature. I can't see how throwing sticks at a squirrel teaches anything constructive. I suspect the counselor was showing off his aiming skills. Also suspect he honed them in his own neighborhood.

Good eating

taste similar to rabbit when fried or made into a stew. Those women should visit a cattle/chicken slaughter house that are not accidentally killed by a stick, but then maybe they do not eat meat.

As a boy scout, I was taught how to make a snare to catch game to eat. In Texas the hunting season for squirrel is open year round for most counties.

I get hundreds of squirrels each year on my property that eat our pecans. Now-a-days I attempt to catch in 3 commercial traps and release in a nearby park that also has pecan trees. Same with the possums which I haven't eaten, but my Dad has.

Wonder what those women think about kids or adults roasting/eating rabbit, quail, ducks, geese, deer, pigeons, lamb, goat, and deer. In WWII many people here ate horse meat on occasion, and even today Buffalo meat is available to eat at home or out.
