Since Covid-19 is no worse than "the flu"

Mar 24, 2020 2:29PM PDT

all/any medical personnel that are self isolating are ignorant of the facts?

When it comes to "medical advice"...

Would you go to Dr Fauci OR Dr Trump?

If you explore enough you will understand there is no other effective way to stop spreading the pandemic without maintaining social distancing.

Bill knows enough to trust Dr Fauci, who is a '2 meter man'.

His "Doctor Trump" comment is aimed at someone. You don't want to be involved. ?
Have you been watching the "Corona party" types? Too bad the virus can't be trusted to limit itself to them only. Then Darwin would have a crack at 'em.

I'm about as old as they get.

OTOH I haven't had a cold or flu-like problem in almost ten years- that was a special case- and I don't remember the last one before that. No immune problems either.
For several years I didn't get the annual flu jab. Then a doctor friend said it would help keep me from carrying it to others, so I do it nowadays. Such a good boy am I. Happy

don't get the flu shot, although both of my sisters (older and younger than me) have done so faithfully for years. I had walking pneumonia in my 20's once and was forced into bedrest for four days by my doctor (gave me a prescription that totally knocked me out every time I took a dose). I had a three day case of the flu once while Derek and the kids were here visiting...one full day of barely being able to function (which consisted of sitting on the pot with a waste basket under my face because both ends were heaving) and another two days of drifting in and out in the recliner.

Derek and his family were supposed to come for a week for Easter, took leave, and cancelled it because although they are all healthy, they are afraid they might bring the virus to me unwittingly. I hate not seeing them, but being here alone is something I'm quite used to and comfortable with anyhow. I don't go to town voluntarily and have only been to my small gas station/store once to get higher priced milk and bread. I normally meet my UPS/FedEx drivers in the yard to get my packages so they can get back on the road quickly since they are paid by the number of deliveries they make each day, but now have them drop the packages on my porch so 'distance' can be maintained as they see many more people than me each day.

I believe, personally, that this has become an insane response across the country. 20K+ deaths every year from 'normal' flu and it's business as usual.....Less than 2K deaths (when the shutdowns began) from CoVID-19 and the entire country comes to a screeching halt. Politicians are nuts. "Non-essential" companies are ordered to close but weed stores are considered essential and allowed to remain open?????????????????
