SimpleTech USB "Simple Drive" not showing up on my computer

Apr 4, 2007 5:00AM PDT

The drive doesnt show up in my computer, or in the device manager. The lights are on, which means that it should be working. Only, when I listen to it, it sounds like its trying to go, but its getting stopped. It doesnt work in my PC, or a MAC. I'm running XP, and up untill a little while ago my drive was working perfectly. And I can't format the drive because it doesn't show up in the device management. Any help would be nice.

I never formatted in "device manager."

If it's not showing up there or Disk Management (which is where I partition and format) then it's failed. Try another cable, case and then drive.
