SimpleSafe Home Security System -wireless

I am trying to determine if the home security system supplied by SimpleSafe is the way to go. Can't find much about this company - wether the product does what it says it does, if company is stable and will be around for a while, if there is a near term software change making current system obsolete, and if monitoring service is effective as company says it is. I don't see it listed in Cnet home security company ratings. Thanks.
