Per subject, that has to be Virtual Dub. It's free and does edit in a simple way.
But what you asked for is not for sale in the US. Laws forbid it!
So we have to turn to software such as DVDSHRINK, DVDDECRYPTER and such, but no one here will give you support for it.

First time buyer looking to buy a video editing program that will rip, burn and edit dvd's.
Can anyone recommend one that's good and not too hard to use?
