Simple steps please- setup Vista to "SINGLE CLICK!"

May 6, 2007 5:43AM PDT

First one out of the box for me, I can't even find the setting to go to single click!! Search Google and have a rabbit chase, but still on bloody single click- One place found the following "Click Start > Control Panel > (set to "Classic View) > click System > under
General tab > select the "Single-click to open an item (point to select)radio box and click OK." Not in the Vista Home Premium I have here- any tips? Please?

The option box is / was not there! Found it under several unnecessary branches of fluff, glad this is not mine. I predict Gramps will be returning it, or speaking loudly about downgrade to XP..

FWIW- Gramps

Considers Vista to be the downgrade, 'Would I please swap him something that doesn't make his head hurt?'

FWIW again sorry for the delay

When I let gramps operate my older D800 Latitude he insisted on not leaving without it, left me the new Inspiron to Nuke, pave, and load XP onto. Cross my fingers and out with the Zap 63 disc.

Gramps may be on to something...

I wish for that every day but keep hanging on! Several unsolved issues that I have given up on... just hoping some day correcting updates will be issued. Grin

To set up Single Click, you need to go to Windows Explorer.
Select Organize;select Folder and Search Option; under General Tab, you will find the options to configure for Single Click.
