simple questions

Dec 4, 2004 6:10AM PST

Hi Y'all I have a couple of questions for the experienced user.
1. I signed up with a new isp who promotes Zoomer is this a useful program or is it dangerous.
2. With the new isp the connect speed is 21.4k with the old isp the connect speed is either 26.4k or 24k do you think I will notice a difference? Obviously I have a dialup connection, the modem is 56k but I live back in the hills.
Thanks

If your concerned about spyware or malicious programs try using spyware removal or prevention progrmas such as spybot search and Destroy:

A quick search on google and a spyware database I could not find anything on zoomer, I would imagine it is ok if your ISP is promoting it.

All i can say is ensure that you have an up to date virus scanner, periodically scan for spyware and do your windows updates!

Hope this helps

No. Unfortunately, dialup is slow.

Thanks Roddy
I think this might be a different zoomer. It is supposed to be an internet accelerator for century tel internet subscribers. After posting this thread I googled zoomer and found it on about the 3rd page. I am trying it now and I do believe that it does indeed make the print larger and it's icon says "average speed-up: 3.4 times". Thanks again.
