simple question: 10D or D70

Sep 22, 2004 3:04AM PDT

I've been looking and reading and looking a bit more.. still confused. why would someone get one vs. the other (Cannon EOS 10D vs. Nikon D70)?

It may get more confusing as the Canon 10D is being replaced by the 20D.

When you get into this class of camera, you are dealing with preferences.

You can start all types of arguments with "which is better a Canon or a Nikon". You just might start a fight.

My money would be on the 20D.

The D70 is a Rebel killer, but probably can't stand up to the 20D which has an 8meg sensor for starters.

I didnt realize how fanatics exist about these two company until now. it's like 2 different cults Happy

true about the sensor. in the brochures they said though D70 can fire @ 3 fps up to 144 pix!! As opposed to 10D's 28 pix. Not sure about 20D though. 20D might be a little too pricy. I think the general comparison btwn these two (w/o any techy details), 10D is higher megapix, but alittle slower and slightly reddish phtos where as D70 is lower megpix, faster, and better white balance. but now i gotta take 20D into the equation...

(NT) (NT) IMO, the 10D is dated, and was due for an update.
